Many of my interests are of the nerdy type. I am a very active Ham
Radio operator. I enjoy to operate HF on 20 and 10 meters. I am
also an active member of the Radio Society of Tucson, and spend most of my
time installing and maintaining our clubs repeaters.
I am in the process if installing a new tower at the house, so I don't
have any equipment connected at this time, other than my HT's. Once my
tower is complete I will have a 6m Beam, 10-15-20 Triband Beam, 2m
70cm Vertical, 10m Vertical, 900mhz Vertical, Discone, and my G5RV. As
of right now I have the base in and have installed 36 feet so far. By
the end it will be a 44ft Trylon Guyed tower. The only things really
holding me up now are fabricating the rotor and thrust bearing plates.
I am also the owner of the 447.100- repeater in Corona De Tucson.
This repeater was installed mid 2007, and has great coverage in the Tucson
Metro area, and out lying areas of town. There are plans in progress
to link it to the downtown 900 repeater, and the new one I plan on
installing on Mt. Lemmon to my 440 once I get some more time!!
I also enjoy to spend the weekend in the desert shooting and exploring
southern Arizona in my jeep.
